MEET CLARA ROBERTS
Clara’s Clearwater Beach Is Closing, And This Is How I Want to Say Goodbye
There is a moment every woman knows.
You are standing in front of a mirror, holding something that caught your eye, and for just a second you wonder, is this really me?
And then you see it.
Your shoulders relax. You stand a little taller. You smile.
It was always you. You just needed the right piece to remind you.
That belief is the reason Clara’s Clearwater Beach has existed for the past eight years here on the Florida coast. It is the reason a former nurse, after twenty-two years of caring for others, decided to open a boutique in the beach town that had always made her feel at peace.
How It Started
It started with a little boutique space in Clearwater Beach that I almost scrolled past.
A small storefront. Here on the coast. In the town my family came back to summer after summer. The town where, every time I felt that salt air, something in me finally exhaled.
I called my husband David into the kitchen. He read the listing, looked at me, and smiled.
He did not have to say a word.
After twenty-two years as a nurse, I had spent so much of my life caring for other people through their hardest and most meaningful moments. I loved that work. It shaped me. It taught me patience, tenderness, and how much it matters to make someone feel seen.
But that night, sitting at our kitchen table, I think David knew I was ready to care for women in a different way.
We talked until midnight. About the risk, the timing, the move, everything that could go wrong. And then, somewhere in the middle of that conversation, we stopped talking about why it might not work and started talking about what it could become.
I handed in my notice. We packed up our lives. And on a warm April morning, I unlocked the door of Clara’s Clearwater Beach for the very first time.
What Clearwater Beach Taught Me
You showed up for this little boutique in ways I never expected.
You came in for one piece and stayed to talk. You brought your sisters, your daughters, your neighbours, and your friends visiting from out of town. You came back season after season. You trusted me with your time, your money, and the way you wanted to feel when you walked out that door.
I never took that lightly. Not for a single day.
As a nurse, I learned to pay attention to the person in front of me. As a boutique owner, I carried that same care into every piece I chose.
I never chose clothing for the hanger.
I chose it for the real woman.
The woman who wants to feel comfortable without giving up style. The woman who wants to look put together without spending an hour getting ready. The woman who has spent years taking care of everyone else and finally wants something that feels good on her.
Clearwater Beach made this dream possible. And after eight beautiful years, it is time for me to close this chapter.
Why I Am Closing
I am sixty-four years old. I have been a nurse, a wife, a mother, and a boutique owner in one of my favourite places on earth.
And I have decided, with a full heart, that it is time to slow down.
Not because something went wrong.
Because something went beautifully right.
I am wise enough now to know when a story has reached its ending.
This is my final sale. Everything must go at 75% off, because I want every last piece to find a home before I close this door for the very last time. 🤍
What This Final Sale Looks Like
Everything you see here was chosen with the same care, the same eye, and the same standard as always.
Especially the denim jumpsuits.
I chose them because they are easy. Because they are flattering. Because they move with you. Because they make getting dressed feel simple again.
There are pieces for the woman who wants comfort without looking careless. Pieces for the woman who wants to walk into her day feeling calm, confident, and herself. Pieces for the woman who has decided she does not need to be uncomfortable to feel beautiful.
Every single piece was chosen by a woman, for women, with an eye for what actually flatters real bodies, not just what photographs well.
75% off everything.
Free shipping on every order.
Easy 30-day returns.
No pressure. No complicated rules. Just one final chance to find something that feels like it was meant for you.
For the Women Who Have Been Here From the Beginning
You made Clara’s Clearwater Beach more than a boutique.
You made it a place.
You kept coming back. You told your friends. You trusted me. You reminded me that a small shop can still mean something when it is built with care.
This final sale is yours as much as it is mine.
Every piece that remains was still chosen with you in mind, the real, living, breathing woman who deserves to feel beautiful, comfortable, and at home in what she wears.
Eight years of thank you.
I mean every word.
For the Women Just Finding Us
Welcome. I am truly glad you are here, even if we are meeting near the end.
Take your time. Browse slowly. Look for the piece that makes you pause.
Trust that feeling.
That feeling is exactly why I opened this boutique in the first place.
One Nurse. One Dream. One Beautiful Beach Town.
What started as a kitchen-table conversation became eight years of mornings I will never forget.
Eight years of unlocking the door.
Eight years of meeting women who reminded me why care matters.
Eight years of choosing pieces not for perfect models, but for real women with real lives.
Every woman deserves to feel at home in what she is wearing. Every woman deserves comfort, confidence, and a little moment in the mirror where she thinks, yes, this feels like me.
That is what I built here.
And I am not done until every last piece finds the woman it was meant for.
